| Proposal Institutional Review | Action: Open a Proposal Wizard → primary action Submit Available for roles: Principal Investigator / College Administrator / Department Approver / Department Top Approver / System Administrator / Grant Officer |
| Withdrawn | Action: Open a Proposal Record → tertiary action Cancel Available for roles: Principal Investigator / College Administrator / Grant Officer / System Administrator |
| Submitted to Sponsor | Action: Open a Proposal Record → primary action Complete Available for roles: Grant Officer / System Administrator |
| Awarded | Action: I’d like to → Request Award Acceptance Available for roles: Pop-up: Principal Investigator / College Administrator / Department Approver / Department Top Approver / Transaction Department Administrator / Transaction Reviewer / Approver / Transaction Coordinator Wizard: Regulatory Coordinator / Grant Officer / System Administrator |
| Not funded | Action: System automatically assigns status to proposals if they are in the Submitted to Sponsor state and the Submitted to Sponsor Date is more than 18 months. |

| Accepted | Action: Open a Award Acceptance Request Wizard/ Transaction Record → primary action on the last stop Available for roles: Transaction Reviewer / Approver / System Administrator |
| Active | Action: System automatically assigns status if the Award is Approved and the period has started. |
| Closeout | Action: System automatically assigns status if the award is not in a negative status, but Active and the calendar period has ended. |
| Close | Action: Open an Award Record → tertiary action Update sub-status Available for roles: Grant Officer / System Administrator |
| Archived | Action: System automatically assigns status if the record is Closed and from the Closed date 5 years passed. |
| Terminated | Action: Open an Award Record → tertiary action Update sub-status Available for roles: Grant Officer / System Administrator |
| Transferred | Action: Open an Award Record → tertiary action Update sub-status Available for roles: Grant Officer / System Administrator |
